Det tysta samtyckets motstånd : En systematisk litteraturstudie över elevinflytande i skolan

School activities are under constant discussion. This literatur study examines student participation and its relationship to democracy mission and the factors that contribute to students marginalized in school. The study also intends to examine the relationship between intersektionall analysis and the limitation of opportunities for student participation in school. The study results problematize the relationship between student participation and school democracy quests, this by highlighting the challenges and difficulties the school faces. Our results also strengthen the relationship between the study theory and marginalization of students and the limitation of opportunities for student participation..

Ungdomars upplevelser av marginalisering

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka ungdomars upplevelser av marginalisering i några marginaliserade områden i Sverige samt dessa ungdomars möjligheter att motverka social exkludering och marginalisering. Följande frågeställningar har väglett arbetet: Hur upplever ungdomar boende i marginaliserade områden social exkludering, marginaliseringen och diskrimineringen i samhället? Vilka hinder upplever ungdomar för att lämna marginaliseringen och marginaliserade områden?Vilka möjligheter tror sig ungdomarna ha för att motverka marginaliseringen och lämna marginaliserade områden? Uppsatsens vetenskapsteoretiska hemvist är hermeneutiken, dvs. den tolkande traditionen inom samhällsvetenskaperna och använder sig av teoretiska perspektiv som marginalisering och vardagsrasism. Uppsatsens empiri bygger på kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med 7 ungdomar i åldrarna 18- 29 år boende i marginaliserade områden.

Marginalisering i gymnasieskolan

I syfte att skapa en översiktlig beskrivning inom området marginalisering i gymnasieskolan, undersöks och analyseras i föreliggande examensarbete hur detta uppmärksammats i offentliga utredningar och rapporter. Undersökningen omfattar perioden från slutet av 1990-talet och fram till och med tidpunkten för de utredningar som ligger till grund för den kommande utformningen av gymnasieskolan 2007. Utifrån ovanstående syfte har vi genom en litteraturstudie velat få svar på frågan om vilka elever som anses riskera marginalisering, vilka faktorer som anges kan orsaka detta samt vilka förslag till insatser som har lagts fram för att komma till rätta med detta problem. Vår teoretiska utgångspunkt och förförståelse grundar sig i forskning om marginaliseringprocesser av Mats Trondman och Nihad Bunar samt en historisk förförståelse i gymnasieskolans utveckling från 1970-talet och framåt. I resultatet av vår analys framkommer att de elever som beskrivs i större utsträckning än andra riskera marginalisering är bl a elever som tidigare haft skolsvårigheter i grundskolan, elever på de yrkesförberedande programmen och det individuella programmet samt elever med utländsk bakgrund.

Elevinflytande : En undersökning utifrån ett lärarperspektiv

This survey is a qualitative study about how teachers see on the concept student leverage and what they say about how they in practice work with it. We have chosen to examine the subject from a teacher?s perspective, because almost all investigations and literature, that we have found, discuss student influence from a student?s perspective. That?s why we are interested to examine what teachers think of the subject.

Det hegemoniska förtrycket Ursprungsbefolkningar/nybyggarsamhällen En kritisk diskussion om medborgarskapet

Många av världens ursprungsbefolkningar lever i nybyggarsamhällen, där deras situation präglas av en social marginalisering och tyngs av sociala problem. För att kunna ge ett bidrag och ökad förståelse kring denna problematik är studien utformad som en kritisk diskussion kring medborgarskapet. Det statliga medborgarskapet är centralt, eftersom det definierar vilka individer och kollektiv som inkluderas respektive exkluderas i en politisk gemenskaps specifika rättigheter och skyldigheter. Trots ett inkluderande i det formella medborgarskapet, har ursprungsbefolkningarna dock haft svårigheter att ta del utav dessa rättigheter. Medborgarskapet vilar på en konstruktion som utformats efter det hegemoniska nybyggar-kollektivets värderingar.

Studentinflytandets roll på Kau : En diskursanalytisk studie kring studentens roll i universitetets organisation och verksamhet

The importance of student influence at the universities is something that is described in Swedish regulations as well as in local policies and documents for Karlstad University. At the same time there is no description for the interpretation of what student influence actually means. It is up to the university to decide what student influence should be at the university and how it should be represented in the organization and processes.The purpose with this essay is with a discursive perspective of analysis define how representatives of Karlstad University reflects how the student influence should be represented in the organization and if it is possible to connect it to the position as an actor of co-decision or of influenceThe analysis show that different levels of the university will describe the position of student influence differently, and that it plays different roles to keep up the quality of education at the university. It shows that it will be of more importance that student influence takes the role to influence the organization more than co-decide the nearer the student the process will come..

?Ibland rolig & Ibland tråkig? : En studie om elevers syn på matematikundervisning i grundskolans senare år

The purpose with this study is to gain understanding about student´s view of mathematical education, in the later years of nine-year compulsory school, and the motivation factors that can be identified when student´s gives opportunity to express their own thoughts due to the mathematical education. From experiences we have gained during the practical part of our teachers education we got the impression that student´s think that the mathematical education is boring and uninteresting. Through qualitative methods such as survey and discussions in focus group we have analyzed student´s views of mathematical education and pointed out witch motivation factors that are expressed when student´s gives opportunity to influence over their own education. The results are shown from the answers and comments that student´s gave, during the survey and focus group, and is divided into two main parts, both with focus on motivation ?Mathematics and motivation? and ?Student´s influence and motivation? and also a summery part ?Motivated for mathematical education when the student is given influence over the education?. The study showed that student´s wants to have more difference in the work methods that are used in their mathematical education such as problem solving, games, more work in groups and pairs and more use of IT. In conclusion the study also gives suggestions to other studies that can be made in the same genre as this study in the way that IT can be used in mathematical education and how student´s interest can be used in the education to gain more motivated student´s..

Myten om nudlarna : Hur ser bilden av studenten ut?

This study is based on interviews with six students from Stockholm that have shared their feelings/opinions about how they experience their identity as a student. The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how the identity of students is constructed but also how the post modern society affects the life that the students are living. With a higher demand on education and responsibility of making the right decisions, the student?s main concern is not only her studies, but also the goal to succeed in her life.

Elevråd : Elevrådsarbete i två skolor

The purpose of this thesis is to determine whether the student councils at two schools really have the power to influence, or if it is a matter of mock democracy. I wanted to determine how the student councils work in reality. I conducted my investigation through personal and qualitative interviews with the board of the student council, a social studies teacher and the principle/school management at both schools. After the interviews I compared an analysed my findings. The results show that the two schools work very differently when it comes to studentdemocracy, and even have very different levels of ambition when it comes to the degree of influence that the student council should have at their respective schools.

Today, student influence is an important part of the school?s activities and is anchored both in Lgr 11 and the school law. Student influence has gained a larger and more important role thru out the years. Previous research points out that teachers and management at school?s have had difficulties with interpretation and understanding the education plan (curriculum) and to know in which way and how much influence the student should have.

Utvecklingssamtal : - ett sätt att tydliggöra lärande

The parent-student-teacher conference presumes school responsibility of the development of the student. Teacher, student and parents are supposed to talk freely and in confidence, the conference should lead to a forward looking and long term plan. The parent-student-teacher conference should presume equality amongst the parties. The intention of this paper is to illuminate how the conference can be a way to clarify the process of learning. I intend to do this by showing the practice of four teachers, by making conclusions from their experiences they have made in their practice.

Historisk anblick på normalisering, kategorisering och marginalisering

Syftet med vårt arbete är att undersöka och belysa begreppen normalisering, kategorisering och marginalisering inom det svenska skolväsendet, 1900-talet fram till 2000-talet. Fokus i vårt arbete handlar om normalisering av barn under 1900-talet och varför just detta begrepp har hamnat i fokus inom den svenska skolan. Vi kommer även att diskutera uppfostran av barn under 1900-talet och de synsätt som den tidens forskare hade. Detta gör vi för att belysa hur synen på barn och uppfostran har ändrats genom historien med våra centrala begrepp i fokus. Vi diskuterar och analyserar våra centrala begrepp (normalisering, kategorisering och marginalisering) utifrån de olika teorier som diskuteras av olika forskare som var framträdande under sin tidsperiod. En teori vi ofta återkommer till i vår uppsats är Tidemans (2000) teori om normativ normalitet.

They also have conversations, so-called student-teaching conferences, with the students school mentors to assess the student teachers knowledge. These conversations aim at assessing the student teachers professional knowledge at the end of a shool-based education.

Korridorsliv : En kvalitativ studie om förhållandena i studentkorridorer

This thesis is dealing with how students living in a student corridor experience the circumstances in their corridor. The aim is through interviews with students living in the corridors get a inside look at their situations. I want to examine how changed conditions of life, new meetings and new experiences will influence their personalities. How are the students living in the corridors affected by conflicts and how do they protect themselves from the influence of the rest of the group living there? In addition to that I want to know what they think is important prioritises throughout their student time, like if there are anything important that a student should take time to do beside the studies.
